Montreal Intercontinental Hotel: My stay and experience

During one of my husband’s recent concerts in Montreal, I had the opportunity to stay at the InterContinental Montreal. Any opportunity I get to be in Montreal is a GREAT for me since I love the city so much. The hotel sits gracefully, 26 stories above many other towers, in Old Montreal (360 Rue Saint Antoine Ouest). The hotel is peacefully tucked away on a street decorated by taxi cabs and eye catching architecture. We were received by a bright red carpet and bell boy who directed us to the second floor for check-in. *Cue the glamour*

The hotel staff was wonderful from start to finish. The team at the InterContinental Montreal were kind enough to include room service in my complimentary stay, which in my opinion was above and beyond GENEROUS.

The morning before we checked out we ordered. I was so happy to have it delivered, because I still had a lot of pictures to take in the room. It was DELICIOUS and efficient for me. We got the:

  1. Salmon Omelet breakfast (with home fries and cherry tomatoes)
  2. Crepes and cream with berries
  3. InterContinental breakfast (Choice of bacon, sausage or ham, home fries, and eggs, with toast …Oh and yogurt with berries)

The staff even brought extra juice with our hot chocolate (hubby’s) and latte (mine). All so good — Staff and food lol.

Here’s a quick 10 point rating of all the things I experienced while staying (**1-10| 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)

STAFF: (Concierge, food, check in agents) – 10

FOOD: (Breakfast) – 9

ROOM: (Decor, cleanliness, bed comfort, temperature, view) – 7

LOCATION: 10

OVERALL: 9

My favourite part of the hotel room was the bathroom. It was what marble dreams were made of! It was lovely, with white marble tiling – my favourite. That Guerlain lip tint in light pink (The one on it’s back) was my go to lip colour this weekend. It’s everything for the lady who sucks at wearing lipstick! (That’d be me!)

There’s a corridor in the hotel that leads to the Montreal Convention Centre and other connections to the city. It has high ceilings with large dinner plate sized lamps lining the hallway. Great spot for a photoshoot and to people watch (if you’re into that kind of thing lol).

Thanks again and again to the team at the InterContinental Montreal for hosting my hubby and I! Look out for a coming post of my experience at Au Sommet – a 360 degree view of Montreal with dinner options – which was also a courtesy offering from this hotel. Until next time MTL, until next time.
