Fleur De Ville Bayshore Ottawa

Ouu! Cue the floral goodness. I’m sure heaven’s floral arrangements look something like this. I attended the private event comprised of fashion activations, snacks and more before the official opening on the 19th of April and It was wonderful. Each attendee was given a gift bag full of goodies like a travel size Viktor and Rolf eau de parfum (Flowerbomb) and FASHION magazine.

This translates to flowers of the cities, which is exactly what this event showcases. Karen Marshall and Tina Barkley are the lifestyle and digital expert duo behind these traveling floral mannequins. They partner with local florist in the cities they launch in to create fashion masterpieces using flowers provided by the small businesses. This event helps to shed a light on local talent in the floral industry (florists, growers, nurseries and designers). The result is a GORGEOUS set of mannequins – clothed in a decadence of flowers. It’s simple stunning and the detail found in the mannequin’s floral gowns is unlike anything I’d ever seen.

What cities are involved this year?

Quebec City (April 11-15)

Ottawa (April 18-22)

Toronto (April 19-23

Vancouver (May 2-6)

Edmonton (May 30-June 3)

Calgary (May 31-June 4)

This Mannequin down below by Capital Florist was my favourite. Now, it wasn’t the most intricate – but the RED was such a standout. I love the simplicity and vibrancy in this one.

And the winning mannequin of the evening was by AltaVista flowers and is pictured down below. GORGEOUS!

It was an amazing event and I can’t wait until next year!
