Today I’m sharing two looks featuring one skirt from Zara. If you’ve been reading for any time at all then you aren’t shocked that my skirt is from Zara (I basically live there). As a blogger, it’s important to know how to re-invent a look and make the same piece look brand new. I’m always doing this – and in as much as I have a fashion blog, I’m really not a HUGE shopper. I mean I DO shop, but mostly the sale rack if you know what I’m saying! Although I didn’t buy this skirt on sale, it’s now there for $10!
Check out TWO WAYS TO STYLE this silver double layered skirt from Zara:
LOOK #1
This skirt has two layers and is quite unique so I decided to play to that one of a kindness and edge it up a bit with the leather jacket and shiny boots with the through heel. I decided to keep the colour scheme consistent by wearing a light grey top, but went for a contrasting black jacket and shoe to give it that grunge. The skirt is very lightweight and effortless to wear, so I wanted that to be consistent throughout my look!
I absolutely love these shoes and they go with anything. Life is too beautiful to wear boring shoes!
Did I mention this skirt is now only 10 bucks at Zara! Girl, what are you waiting for? : )
LOOK #2
This look is more fun and playful! I added a pop of colour with the jean jacket and I think the navy compliments the shimmer in the skirt very well. Most notable, I altered the shape on the skirt by tucking the long top layer into the side of the skirt. This make the skirt look mini, with a draping detail across the front. Tucking it into the back will only work if you wear an oversized jacket to cover it up. I love mixing textures – it adds more depth to a look, so in this look I mixed denim, with my textured vertical lined turtle neck (You can’t see the detail in the top, but it’s there) – and the skirt has enough shine and shimmer to light up a room!
Don’t be afraid to wear the statement pieces in your closet over and over again and don’t shy away from manipulating the shape of some of those pieces! It gives you more opportunities to refresh the same piece that your friends, family or audience may have seen you wearing over and over again! Have fun with the things you buy and challenge yourself to find multiple ways to repurpose what you’ve spent your hard earns dollars on.
I think it’s always a good idea to keep a classic shaped leather bootie in your wardrobe. I never have to think, will these match my outfit. They work 98% of the time! Who doesn’t like effortless outfit choosing!?

I live in Spain, which is the land of Zara (you probably already know that they’re a Spanish company). That skirt is so unique and allows you to wear it in different ways! Love it!
What a great skirt! I definitely agree, it looks perfect with the jean jacket. And $10 – what a steal!
You had me at $10! I’m not a shopper or a fashionista but it’s something that I want to do more of. I’m pretty casual when it comes to my wardrobe, and I think I could make this skirt work for my style.
I love a garment that can be multifunctional. I’m all about finding ways to wear the same pieces over and over again in different ways, so I really loved this post! Both of these looks are great, but I definitely love look #1 a bit more ☺️
What a unique skirt. I always appreciate a skirt or any one piece of clothing that you can wear multiple ways. Who can hate a price tag of $10? What a deal!
Love the versatility of the skirt. Both looks are super cute! The boots with the clear heel are so on trend right now.
That skirt looks so futuristic (in a good way!). Did it wear bulky when you tucked it in or is it so lightweight that you didn’t really notice. Love the foil contrasted with the jean jacket.
I would totally rock the longer version of the skirt! And the boots are super cute ❤️
The skirt is so cute. I love both of the looks on you.
I am digging the second look. That skirt and those boots are amazing staple pieces.
I 100% agree with the leather bootie comment. I have a brown pair and a black pair and they are my most worn shoes! Love these looks!
So interesting and so cute! Never knew a skirt could be so versatile
