American Apparel Tribal Print Dress || Zara Leather Jacket || ASOS Booties || ALDO Necklace
I’ve had this tribal print dress from American Apparel for some time now and simply never got around to wearing it. It had become one of the items in my closet that was never worn for what it is – A DRESS! I’ve only worn this dress as a shirt with some sort of ‘high waisted bottom’ to provide enough tuck in room to help me get away with the extra fabric. Then I decided enough was enough! I made the decision to finally wear it as a dress [LOL]; I put on some shoes, and left the house. I DID IT! What do you think?!
The thing I love most about tribal print is that it is a seasonless print. You can rock this print [with no shame] at any time of the year. Oh, and if the tribal print you own is in black and white, you’re in for a real treat because you can virtually dress it up anyway and anyhow. I decided to dress mine up with black and gold fixings! Some call it CLICHE, I call it LOVE – I just love accessorizing according to this scheme ! As Fall approaches, I’ve been trying to make the transition as smoothly as I can. In this look, I Fall-sitioned [Fall-sition (v.) an element of an outfit that helps to make a progressive shift to Fall fashion] by pairing the dress with a leather jacket and booties. Initially, I planned to pair it with a neutral colored blazer which can also serve as a Fall-sition, but to add some depth and dimension I did black leather instead. How would you do it?! Let me know in the comments below how you Fall-sition; I’d love to know!
Thanks for reading ! Make sure to stop by at the end of the week for something new !
