Statement Necklace

Hey Kittens! I’ve missed you all, but I’m back ! 2014 has kicked off to a lovely start. God has opened so many doors for me and he’s given me a more definite vision for this blog and MY LIFE. I’ve taken the back burner for a month to re-coup and come back stronger than ever! I also moved to a brand new city [Toronto] and am starting a brand new chapter! I’m glad to be back and I hope all my readers are glad to have me. So I thought, what better way to kick start my 1st new year post than with a statement piece of jewelry to foreshadow my expectation of a STATEMENT YEAR ! In this case I went for a statement necklace.

Last year was an amazing year – for the blog and for myself! I was granted many opportunities that purged me out of my comfort zone and I learned a lot about myself and about the direction I am being called toward. I also graduated from the University of Ottawa and my best friend got engaged [I’m a maid of honor y’all] ! Im so excited for 2014 and what God has already made way for. I can’t wait for the ride that IS this new year!

Onto the outfit —  Today I am wearing a thrifted blue calf length skirt paired with a crop top and my favourite jacket from Zara. This is a great look for any daytime event! A fashion show, networking event, or afternoon date!  I paired them with my signature JC’s because not only do they create drama, they are comfortable as ever.

This year on my blog I’d like to focus alot on teaching my readers how to create certain looks and to show how to dress in certain life moments. I want to focus on more posts like this!  For those who read kouturekitten for my commentary on my relationship with Jesus; I am so excited to tell you that I will strive to dig deeper. I want to talk about the things young believers struggle with and use my testimony to display what God can do if you trust him entirely. I am not perfect, and never will be, but God is calling me to share my story to shed light on what God can do when we allow him into our hearts. I love God and will always share about his love for me.
